Privacy Policy

What we collect, why, where it lives, and how to get it deleted. Shorter than most, because we collect less than most.

Effective 1 November 2026Version 1.4Applies to plex.gg and app.plex.gg

01The short version

We keep what we need to run your server and bill you. We do not sell data, we do not run ad trackers, and your world files are yours.

02What we collect

email, namesign-in and account noticesuntil you delete the account

server metricsTPS, memory, CPU, player counts shown in your dashboard90 days

03What we do not collect

No advertising identifiers, no third-party tracking pixels, no analytics that follow you across sites. The marketing site uses a self-hosted, cookie-free page counter.

04Players on your server

Players who join your server send their usernames and IPs to it, as in any multiplayer game. We store player names and join times in your dashboard so you can manage them. We do not profile players and we do not contact them.

You are the controller of that data under GDPR; we process it for you.

05Where data lives

Account and billing data is stored in the EU. Your server and its files live in the region you chose. Backups are stored in object storage in the same continent as the server.

06Who we share with

  • Payment processor for charging your card.
  • Email provider for transactional email.
  • Identity provider for sign-in.
  • Infrastructure providers that run the nodes.

Each is bound by a data processing agreement. Nobody else, unless the law requires it, and then we tell you where we can.

07Your rights

Export or delete everything from Account settings. Deleting the account deletes servers, backups and logs within 30 days. Email privacy@plex.gg for anything the dashboard does not cover, including access requests and complaints. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

08Cookies

One session cookie for sign-in, one for your theme and language. That is the list.

09Changes

We email material changes 14 days before they take effect. The version number and date at the top of this page change with every edit.
